Discover the Region of Valencia’s finest pastries and traditional sweet treats at a bakery where everything is a delight. Don’t miss the opportunity to stop by our local bakeries and cake shops.

Forn de Pa Cunyat in Torrent, just a stone’s throw from València, is a place that is well worth spending some time at. The bakery gives you the opportunity to sample some quintessentially Valencian pastries and explore the best our gastronomy has to offer. Your visit is the perfect excuse to get to know a charming spot in Torrent: Hort de Trénor, a lovely garden where you can while away the hours.

Forn de Pa Cunyat offers local bakes like fartons, a sort of iced bun that is traditionally dunked into horchata, a refreshing drink made from tiger nuts. You can also get your hands on torrijas, which is similar to French toast, and enjoyed particularly during Holy Week. Raisin and walnut cake is another classic which we enjoy at any time of the day in the Region of Valencia. And then there are the Easter monas, panquemaos topped with meringue and, of course, tasty bread. The smells wafting from the bakery are sure to get your mouth watering.

The Forn de Pa Cunyat display is also packed with personalised cakes, ensaimadas (a coiled puff pastry) and, when it’s San Blas Festival in Torrent, gaiatos. These small savoury bread sticks are braided and sprinkled with llavoretes, aniseedRosquilletas, bread sticks, are something of an institution in the Region of Valencia and are eaten at any time.

As we mentioned above, festivities always fill Forn de Pa Cunyat with traditional treats. In January, you’ll find coques de Sant Antoni for Sant Antoni festival. At Christmas there are yule logs and roscones, a sort of brioche eaten for Epiphany, and later in the year fruit-shaped marzipan for the 9 October, Valencia Day, and panellets for All Saints. Whatever time of the year you visit, you’ll savour some delicious pastries.

So what are you waiting for? Make your way to Forn de Pa Cunyat for a foodie experience like no other. Your only problem: deciding what to order.
